MJAA History
The Mount Joy Athletic Association was established in 1969 by the merging of Kunkle Oil 12u & 14u baseball teams in Mount Joy with other sponsored teams from nearby Florin. Since then, the MJAA has expanded to offer instruction and competition for tee ball (ages 4-6), 8u, 10u, 12u & 14u baseball and softball teams for children from across the Donegal School District and surrounding areas. We will be celebrating our 50th year serving the community in 2019.
Over the years, our youth baseball teams have won (7) New Era Tournament Championships at multiple age levels: 1968, 1978, 1981, 1987, 1988, 1993, 2005
Mount Joy baseball has also produced 6 players drafted by the Major Leagues, two of which have played/are playing in the Major Leagues, one who is coaching in the Major Leagues, and 1 Major League Hall of Famer.
